We know it’s hard moving to a new community, especially one outside the continental
United States. Our job at Compass is to assist you with every aspect of your move.
For your convenience, we’ve compiled the following tips. This information will help you
enjoy a seamless transition to your new home.

Time Frame for Transport: In most cases, Compass can have your household goods and auto to your
new location within one month of pickup, often much earlier. When planning your move, please take
into account that transit times will increase during the peak season and will significantly decrease in
    the slower months.

Transporting your Auto or Boat to/from Hawaii:  It is generally considered more prudent and
economical to ship your existing household goods, rather than sell them and repurchase at the inflated
Island rate of replacement. It will also be more economically sound to ship a newer vehicle, rather than
replace it upon arrival. When returning to the continental U.S., please plan to speak to your Compass
Representative to determine the economic practicality of shipping versus selling and replacing your
    household goods, boat and auto.

    Moving your Pets to Hawaii:
We offer the following helpful hints for transporting your pet to Hawaii:

You will need to arrange for your pet to have rabies and booster shots.

They cannot be less than three months apart and not more than one year apart.

All pets must have an identification microchip implanted before entering Hawaii. Animals should have
passed a blood serum test, with results emailed to Hawaii officials by the testing lab.
Pets cannot enter the state until 120 days after the blood sample is received by the state.

Hawaii officials must receive a health certificate from the pet’s veterinarian at least
10 days prior to the animal’s arrival. This must include all test results and health
certificates and emailed directly from the vet’s office.

At the airport terminal in Hawaii, Animal Quarantine officials will inspect
your pet,
verify that all paperwork is in order, and make arrangements
to release your pet to you.

    Compass International recommends you
